about us

“Imagination is more than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create”.
Albert Einstein

Is the use of one’s imagination becoming obsolete? It would seem so in this
video game, television and cell phone driven era. Some of my fondest
memories as a child revolve around my exceptional imagination. It is true
that some children have stronger imaginations then others, but a child can
learn how to imagine if given the proper tools.

Henry Ford, Walt Disney, Shakespeare, The Wright Brothers, Earnest Hemingway,
and J.K. Rowling are just a few of the amazing people who have utilitized their creativity and imagination to the fullest. I often wonder what this world would be like if they never graced us with their greatness.

It is my belief that children who utilize their ability to imagine, not only create
a stronger mind but in turn become more productive human beings.

Instant gratification for our children may seem convenient and any parent
can tell you, including myself, that it helps to keep them sane when juggling
a career, play dates and everyday activities. This can be a challenge for anyone.
Unfortunately, these “habits” bode impatience, laziness and obesity. My
challenge to parents is to take a little extra time to help your child explore their
imagination. Build a fort out of blankets, create skits and act them out; do
anything to show your children a better creative outlet no matter how silly you may
feel. You may be surprised at the little girl or boy buried deep within yourself.
It is never too late to be inspired!
